Fotona Laser treatment of Active Acne

This treatment reduces acne inflammation by penetrating the skin to selectively destroy large sebaceous glands which are often the underlying cause of acne, without causing any injury to the skin. Nd:YAG laser wavelengths safely penetrate the skin to the optimal depth and also stimulates collagen remodelling.  The laser is used to accelerate the healing process and to reduce the possibility of developing new acne inflammation.

For mild to moderate acne, a single treatment is sufficient to suppress acne for up to 3 months or longer.  For more severe acne, more frequent treatments are required to see continuous improvement over a few months.

Fotona Laser treatment of Acne Scars

This treatment is based on the precise and gentle skin resurfacing procedure using Er:YAG laser.  The laser safely and effectively provides the minimal penetration required for light resurfacing of acne-scarred skin and stimulates the production of new collagen in the dermis.

With the laser, the practitioner can precisely control the depth at which the skin is removed and can therefore make the treatment as mild or aggressive as is required.  Within days the skin will appear undamaged, young and healthy-looking.
