IncontiLase® Stress Urinary Incontinence Laser Treatment

IncontiLase® Stress Urinary Incontinence Laser Treatment

Stress urinary incontinence is a common problem in women that causes the involuntary loss of urine during coughing, sneezing, laughing or physical exertion such as running or climbing stairs.

The main contributing factors are vaginal child birth, obesity and ageing and are a result of reduced muscle tone in the pelvic floor region.  It has been treated in the past non-surgically by muscular training (known as Kegel exercises) or surgically with an implant know as a Urethral Sling which requires hospitalisation, recovery time and potential serious complications.

IncontiLase® is a patent-pending, non-invasive Er:YAG laser therapy for the treatment of mild and moderate stress urinary incontinence, based on non-ablative photothermal stimulation of collagen neogenesis, shrinking and tightening of vaginal mucosa tissue and collagen-rich endopelvic fascia, and subsequently greater support to the bladder.
