At New You Aesthetics, your safety and well-being always come first. Cosmetic injectables—such as anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers—are medical procedures and should be approached with the same caution and professionalism as any other healthcare intervention.
Potential Risks and Side Effects
While many people experience positive results, it’s important to understand that all medical procedures carry risks. These may include:
- Bruising and Swelling: Common around the injection site, usually temporary.
- Infection: As with any procedure involving the skin, there’s a small risk of infection.
- Allergic Reactions: Rare, but possible.
- Asymmetry or Irregular Results: Outcomes can vary, and sometimes follow-up treatments are required.
- Lumps or Nodules: Particularly with dermal fillers, which may require further treatment to resolve.
- Vascular Complications: Very rare but serious; if filler is injected into a blood vessel, it can lead to tissue damage.
- Nerve Damage or Temporary Weakness: Uncommon but possible when injecting near nerves.
